Morris' family moved from England in 1959 to the property they still own in Redwood Valley and established an orchard. Morris and his brother Darren took over the orchard from their parents in 1980 and had a pretty significant orchard and apple packhouse operation, including packing apples for about 10 other growers in Motueka.

Starting with bone carving and moving onto knitwear, Trevor and Val have been crafting for nearly 40 years.

Wood and wool are their two main materials, but they also work with recycled materials, flotsam and jetsam. Their current project is bee and bird houses, made from recycled materials. Even though they've been crafting for many years, they're always coming up with new ideas and projects.
